Sorry I was gone so long.

I am so sorry that I have not been posting new things on my blog in almost 2 months.  I was away in Ohio because my mother was diagnosed with cancer in the lining of her brain and passed away last month.  I am finally back in California with my husband and children after I was able to get everything settled in Ohio.

On I happier note I am slowly getting back to crafting and I can not wait to share my holiday ideas with all of you.  Thank you all for your support and I will be posting some fun stuff very soon.

Thank you
Melissa

The Beauty of Nature

How beautiful are these cards.  Nature is a great way to get inspiration for your crafting. Neural colors can make a great base for a card and with a few small pops of color, nature cards can really make a person smile!

These cards were easy to make and are simple and elegant.  Any nature lover would smile to get one!!

Thanks for coming to my blog and have a great day!!

*The Men in Your Life*

The one thing I have a lot of in my life is men.  I have my husband and my 2 boys just in my house a lone.  Then you factor in my father,  father-in-law, my brothers, and the several military men I encounter all the time, there are a lot of men in my life.  Well with all those men it is hard to come up with male cards that they would like.  Here are just a few ideas!!!

These card layouts would be great for Father's Day.  I am sure the man in your life would love them!!
These are great birthday cards for any age.  The diamond plating is so simple.  It is aluminum foil and an embossing fold.  It just sets the card off and makes it really masculine.
Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a great day!!!!

~To Do Lists~

These are mini note books I made for a few events that I am doing.  I did 9 of them and thought they were just to pretty not to share!   These would be great to throw in your purse or backpack.  Its so fun to be creative!!

Thanks so much for checking out my blog!!!

Christmas is not that far away!!

I started thing that Christmas is really not that far away and the end of the year always seems to fly by.  The thought of making Christmas cards to send out was very overwhelming but then I decided to see if cards could really be mass produced easily for those who want something personal to send out.  I know I am someone who does not have a lot of time so I wanted to get started on Christmas cards to send out and it went really well.  Here are a few of the cards I came up with and it only took me about an hour to make 15 cards.  That is doable for almost anyone!!!

I hope that these simple cards give you some great Christmas ideas!!!  I had a great time mass producing cards and I can't wait to send out the ones that I have made.

Thanks so much for coming by and have a wonderful day!!

Happy Survivor Day!!!

I have a man in my life that makes me laugh with some of the things that he says.   That man is my dad, and when I told him "Happy Birthday" this year he said he was getting so old that it is not Happy Birthday but Happy Survivor Day.  It made me laugh so much that I just had to create a great card just for him.  Thanks for the inspiration and I love you dad!

Halloween is on its way!!!

Fall is in the air and soon the Halloween season will be here!!!  With the holidays coming my craft room is the best place to be.  I have lots of spooky and wonderful things in mind for Halloween and these are just a few.
These three treats are all inspired from different places.  The owl treat envelope is from the Stampin' Up magazine that the demonstrators get every month.  I love the witch's broom and it is from the Stampin' Up main catalog and the ghost and bats treat pouch if inspired from a pouch that Lisa Brown did.  I always put my twist on the things I see and I want to make them my own but they are great ideas and worth sharing!!
This treat pouch is made from Halloween paper left over from last year.  I used a Stampin' Up bat punch which is on clearance on my website but the are really fun and the punch makes it easy to reproduce this pouch quickly!  The ghost is from the Stampin' Up owl punch and the pouch is made from out new die cuts.  This is a great way to had out individual items for a great Halloween surprise!!
How cute is this witchy broom stick!!  With the small plastic sleeves from Stampin' Up you do things like this for your child's class and the kids love them.  A little paper and some quick cutting and this can be put together in no time.
I love this envelope!! You can fit suckers or pencils in it and its something that is really different.  I used die cuts and an embossing fold to add some fun touches that make the envelope look great!

If you have any questions or would like the measurements of any of these along with a supply list please let me know!!!  Thanks for checking out my blog!!

Hello everyone!!!  I hope all is well!!  I have a lot coming up in the next few months.  I will have some fun Fall and Halloween stuff to post and of course Christmas is coming too!!  Yes I know it is still 5 months away but it is never to early to start holiday crafting!!  Thank you to all who have checked out my blog since I have started it.  It is a fun way to share what I love!!

Birithdays, Birthdays, Birthdays!!!!

Birthdays, Birthdays, Birthdays!!!!  August is the month of birthdays it seems.  I will be posting lots of birthday cards because I have some many birthdays this month including my son.  These were for 2 very special little girls.  I also put gift card holders in them so that makes them even better!!!

HAWAII!!!

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH  How fun is this card!!!  Thanks to my Cricut and a great idea from a friend I made this Hawaiian birthday card for her aunt!!  It took me back to when we lived in Hawaii.  She also asked for a Hawaiian Christmas card.  I can't wait to start working on that one!!

Thank You!!

How cute is this!!!!  This was a gift bag that we made at stamp club in July.  We used a flower pedal punch to make the flower and a few of the new wafer dies from Stampin' Up to make the rest of the bag.  Holding the flower up is a bag of flower seeds to say thank you to someone special.  I hope you guys like this!!

Vintage Fan

I am very proud of this card.  I had a vision on this one and made that vision come to life.  It was by no means simple but it was fun to make.  The antiquing on the card gives it a vintage fell and I love it.  I hope you do too!!

Dino Fun!!!

I wanted to share this card that is on its way to Utah for the Stampin' Up convention that is starting this week.  I sent 75 of these cards to be traded for 75 cards form other people.  I can not wait to see what kinds of cards I get back.  I hope the ladies that get these love them.  I wanted to do something different and thanks to my friend Sam I was about to.  She loves dinosaurs and this card was inspired by her idea!!!  Thanks Sam!!!
